TAO DOG® Retreat 2024
Dates: Friday, May 24th, 2024 at 2:00pm through Monday, May 27th at 1:00pm.

Overview-Mission
Our mission with our retreat, is to focus on the incredible relationship you share with your dog and provide opportunities for you to deepen your connection, adventure together, learn new skills and get to know others who enjoy the same. We like to think of this retreat as a wellness retreat for us and our dogs, with a hint of sleep away camp.
Retreat Activities
Our weekend will be filled with fun but also activities to relax and restore. From dog yoga, morning meditation, training, group hike in the Berkshire Mountains, paddle boarding/kayaking with your dog, swim time to campfires, community meals, camp crafts such as making intention bracelets and dog treat decorating, seminars including canine massage, canine nutrition & canine conditioning. There’s so much we plan to do together on this long weekend.
Accommodations
Berkshire Lake Camp offers cabin-style accommodations. You can choose from a single cabin, a double cabin or share a cabin with four people. All cabins are spacious so you will have plenty of room to settle in with your dog. Single cabins have 2 full sized beds, so you can choose to book for just one person, or room with a friend or partner. Double cabins include multiple twin bunk beds for you to choose from. We will only be using the bottom bunks. A cabin shared by four people is the same size and set up as the double cabin, just shared with a few more friends. Cabins are first come first serve, we will be offering 2 single cabins, 3 double shared cabins and 4 four person shared cabins. Depending on your dog and budget, you can choose the cabin which works best for you.

Community Meals & Food
Our focus for meals & food is around providing a variety of nutritious options and sharing this time as a community. We will be active in both our bodies and minds during the weekend and we want you to nourish yourself this weekend. We will be offering dinner Friday evening, three meals on Saturday & Sunday & brunch Monday morning. In between meals we will provide access to snacks, drinks & water throughout the weekend. Meals included are for humans only, upon registration we will ask you about any dietary restrictions and allergies.
What you need to know?
Participants must be 21 or older. Dogs must be social/neutral with other dogs and people. For the weekend, dogs will be on leash or long lines. We ask that each person accompany one dog. If you have multiple dogs you would like to bring, please reach out individually to inquire about options. Dogs may move freely about cabin space, however, dogs are not allowed to roam freely in cabins unattended. Should you want to allow your dog to rest while you participate, we recommend you bring a crate for your dog. This is a rain or shine event, we have indoor space we can use and will adjust schedule accordingly in case of rain.

Payment options: you can choose to pay in full at registration or select our payment plan. Our payment plan consists of 2 payments, 1/2 of the full amount (1st payment) is due upon registration, the second 1/2 (2nd payment) is due on or before April 15th, 2024.

Add-On Options
A group canine massage seminar is included with your retreat experience. We are also offering individual 30-minute canine massage sessions as an add-on for your dog. $50/30-minute private session
We will be decorating dog treats together as a camp activity. We are also offering two add-on dog treats options. One will be a welcome bag of dog treats for when you arrive to your cabin($10). Two is a s'mores dog treat($13/s'more).
You will be asked about our special add-ons on your registration form, where you can choose what works best for you and your dog.
Cancellation Policy
While we want everyone who registers to attend, we understand life happens. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
2 or more months in advance from 5/24/24 - all money is refunded.
1-2 months in advance from 5/24/24 - 50% total refunded.
Less than 1 month in advance from 5/24/24 - 50% total refunded IF we can fill your spot.
